For this sound project, I wanted to create a really peaceful “song” with more ambient sounds. After searching through the folder of the class’ sounds, I found a lot of sounds that I thought would really fit with my vision for the project. I toned down the volume of all of the sounds and I used the guitar sound kind of as my chorus. I used a lot of echo effects and made everything fade in and out. I used a fire crackling sound as a form of drums behind the guitar hitting sound. I agree with the critique I got that the bike bell seemed a little random in comparison with the other sounds I had. At the time I created the song I thought I edited it to be ambient enough but I probably could’ve tweaked it more. As for the sound that randomly played for a split second extremely loud when my project was played in class, I have no idea what happened! I listened to the SoundCloud file I uploaded before and after class and the same thing didn’t happen so I’m not sure what happened with it in class, I got a lot of negative critiques on it but I was just as confused as everyone else.
